These instructions detail using the built-in dial-up networking software
in Windows NT 4.0 for Workstations to connect to the Planttel.Net
Internet Service.
Create a Connection

Go to the My Computer icon and double-click on Dial-Up Networking.

If you have never used Dial-Up Networking or RAS before,
and have no entries in your phone book, you will get a message to
that effect, prompting you to create a new phonebook entry. If you do have
phonebook entries, you can create a new entry by clicking the New...
button.

If the Phone Book Entry wizard starts, check the option "I know
all about phone book entries and would rather edit the properties directly",
and click the Finish button

Give the new phonebook entry a name, such as Planttel.Net PPP, and
enter the planttel.net local access number:

Click the Server tab. Make sure the Dial-up server type is PPP:
Windows NT, Windows 95 Plus, Internet, and that the TCP/IP option is
checked.

Click TCP/IP Settings.

Select Specify name server addresses and enter the following addresses:
Primary DNS 206.74.254.2 & Secondary DNS 204.116.57.2

Click the Script tab. Select None

Click the Security tab. Select Use any authentication including
cleartext.

Don't change anything in under the x.25 tabs

Click OK to save your new phonebook entry.
